Discover Dtc Sports Grille Tempe

Walking into Dtc Sports Grille Tempe feels like stepping into a familiar neighborhood hangout where the TVs are always tuned to the right game and the staff already knows what kind of night you’re looking to have. Located at 7192 Price Rd, Tempe, AZ 85283, United States, this spot has quietly built a loyal following among locals who want solid food, cold drinks, and a relaxed sports-bar atmosphere without the usual fuss.

From personal experience, this is the kind of place that works just as well for a quick weekday lunch as it does for a packed Sunday football crowd. I first stopped in after a long workday, expecting typical bar food, and ended up staying far longer than planned. The menu surprised me with its range, from classic burgers and wings to lighter options that don’t feel like an afterthought. One server explained how the kitchen preps sauces in small batches to keep flavors consistent, which shows in dishes like the wings, where heat and tang actually balance instead of competing.

Reviews around Tempe often highlight the consistency here, and that matters more than trendiness. According to a 2023 report from the National Restaurant Association, repeat visits are driven primarily by reliable food quality and friendly service, both of which score high at this grille. You’ll notice regulars chatting with bartenders, and that kind of relationship doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built through steady service standards and a clear understanding of what customers value.

The menu reads like a greatest-hits list for a sports diner, but with thoughtful execution. Burgers are cooked to order, fries arrive hot and crisp, and the sandwich options actually feel filling. A friend of mine, who manages food operations for a local hospitality group, pointed out how portion control here is spot-on. You leave satisfied, not weighed down. That attention to balance reflects broader industry best practices recommended by organizations like the American Culinary Federation, which emphasize flavor clarity and kitchen efficiency over excess.

Game nights are where this place really shines. The layout makes it easy to see screens from almost any seat, and the sound levels stay energetic without turning overwhelming. During a playoff game last season, I watched the staff smoothly manage a full house, keeping orders moving and tables clean. It’s a real-world example of process discipline in action, something restaurant consultants often stress but rarely see executed well in casual dining.

Trustworthiness also shows up in small details. Health inspection scores for this area of Tempe are publicly available, and this grille has consistently met local standards, which matters more than flashy décor. While no restaurant is perfect, occasional wait times during peak hours are the main limitation mentioned in reviews. Even then, staff usually communicate delays clearly, which helps manage expectations.

Beyond the food, the location is practical. Sitting near major roads and business parks, it’s easy to reach whether you’re coming from work, home, or nearby hotels. That accessibility makes it a popular meetup spot, especially for fans catching late games. Several online reviews describe it as your go-to game day stop, and that phrase fits. It’s not trying to reinvent the sports bar; it’s refining it.

What keeps people coming back is the feeling that the experience is dependable. In an industry where staff turnover and inconsistent quality are common, this diner shows how sticking to proven methods still works. You taste it in the food, see it in the service, and feel it in the atmosphere, which is why so many Tempe locals call it a reliable local favorite without hesitation.

  • So this is not DTC Sports Grille anymore. It is now Tipsy Taps & Grill. The menu selection is a lot more limited. Abby at the bar was fantastic! Attentive with a little attitude, happy to chat and super friendly! I had the BBQ Burger (forgot to take a photo) and it was very good. The truffle fries were okay. I had the caramel bundt cake dessert with ice cream. That was pretty tasty. Lots of sports options on the plethora of TV's around the place. New owners are apparently going to increase the options soon, so the menu might be different soon.

  • Truly an amazing fight night experience. Everywhere in Tempe was booked and DTC came through. On top of amazing service (thank you Abby!), the food was incredible! I sincerely recommend the funnel cake fries. If you're scratching your head on where to go for your next sporting event, DTC sports grille is the place to be.

  • Started with fried pickles... Delectable... (the empty plate photo) Diablo Shrimp Tacos. OMG...! The house "Diablo Sauce" should be bottled and sold. The shrimp delicate, cooked perfectly. But the highlight from start to finish. Was the server and her service. Casey (aka "like K.C. & The Sunshine Band). She welcomed us like family. She has a career in food service management, if she should choose...! So easy to talk to it was effortless. Recommended with authority of knowledge. I could GO ON AND ON but I won't. Come here ask for Casey. You won't be disappointed...!

  • Wings. Wings. Wings. Whatever you do here, order the wings. We tried two varieties—garlic parmesan and sweet heat—and both were spot-on in flavor. The secret? Their so-called “trifecta” cooking method: marinated, then grilled, then baked, and finally deep-fried. The result is wings that are impossibly tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. For both me and my significant other, these were hands-down the best wings we’ve ever had—no contest. Next visit, we’ll explore more of the menu… but the wings will be a non-negotiable repeat order.

  • This place was right next to the hotel I was staying in, so I was more than happy to go check them out. And I'm so glad I did. This cool little sports bar had everything that I needed. Ice cold beer, really good bar food... By the way, some of the most amazing french fries that I have ever had! And the ribeye sliders were off the chart. Go check this place out if you're ever in the Arizona area

  • DO NOT skip this place just because it's in a hidden location. I set up a surprise 40th birthday party for my husband and planning with the manager, Jordan, was a breeze. He was so accommodating and had everything we needed to make the night perfect. We were able to decorate the reserved space and Jordan made sure he had enough staff for our party of 80. Do you want incredible service? See Abby or Casey. These two sweethearts put other servers to shame with their efficiency and ability to handle a crowd. As for the food, kids meals are $9 and include a drink and fries. Everything is hot and the sauces they offer are good too. For the adults, order the carne asada fries. As soon as someone samples the fries, they order their own! Bring the whole fam and sit outside on the huge patio or at the bar inside where you won't miss a second of any game on the tvs.
